Big news: Leading AI is now… Engine!

We are thrilled to announce that as of 1 September, Leading AI will be known as Engine.

Why Engine?

This is probably where we should say that our newname embodies our mission to be the driving force behind your AI journey… (Clears throat) “Just as an engine powers a vehicle, our AI solutions empower your organisation to reach new heights of productivity and success.” It will be like an advert for an electric car. Idris Elba can do the voiceover.

That’s all true of course, but mainly: we didn’t give our name a tonne of thought when we started the company last year. We were busy getting very excited about generative AI and it’s really, really hard to brand things when you’re a new company with new tech.

But now we’re bigger and better and want a namethat has a bit more to do with what we actually build: we build AI Engines.

Why should people care?

Fair question. Honestly, people shouldn’t care too much. They have work to do, plants to water, and dinner to think about. But we don’t anyone who knew us as Leading AI to be confused by changes to our email addresses, website, product information… that kind of thing.

The story so far

Since the company started, almost a year ago, we have partnered with lots of organisations across both the private and public sectors. Our AI and our advice has changed the way our clients work by doing a lot of the drudgery for them, so professionals can spend time on the parts of your job they get out of bed for.

Here are some of the ways we’ve made a difference:

• Our policy.engine provides staff at Morley College with instant access to policy information, saving time and reducing frustration.
• The knowledge.engine has made Coram’s latest best practice information genuinely accessible to frontline staff in children’s social care.
• EcoPlanAdvisor helps Hyrax customers understand thermodynamic heat pumps, promoting planet-friendly choices.
• We’ve given out over 200 free, compliant, customisable, policy templates to schools and colleges, to help everyone use AI responsibly.
• We’ve been invited to lots of events and run webinars and we love it. At least 500 people have been in an audience for one of our presentations, and there’s lots more in the diary for the months ahead…

What’s next?

Our new website, www.engine-ai.co.uk, has lots of information on our products and services, a few case studies and information about Really Useful Events. We’ll keep brandw**k to a minimum.
